SCHOOL is back for the year, which means it’s time to lock-in some recreational activities for the kids to enjoy after school hours.
The Hawkesbury Regional Gallery is introducing a new art class program, Drawn to Art, aimed at school-aged children 10 years and over, who are already skilled in drawing and interested in learning new skills and techniques with materials they may not have previously used.
Students will learn with a range of pencils including inktense, prisma colour and polychromes, and the subject focus will be animals.
Drawn to Art costs $50 ($40 for Gallery members) for a set of four classes (Wednesdays, February 6, 13, 20 and 27) from 4pm-5.30pm.
Art After School is back for another term, to encourage creativity in children aged five to 12 years, while building skills and developing confidence using various media.
The cost is $50 ($40 for members) for four classes - Thursdays, February 7 (Draw), 14 (Make), 21 (Paint) and 28 (Sculpt), from 4pm-5.30pm.
Both classes can be booked online at Eventbrite. All materials are supplied and children should wear clothing suitable for painting.
