ARE you a senior citizen concerned about safety on the internet? Hawkesbury Police Area Command has arranged a free seminar specially for you.
The two-hour forum will cover internet fraud, current scams and advice about how to keep yourself safe on the internet.
The material will be valuable to all senior citizens who use the internet, and you only require basic skills to get something out of the seminar.
People who have older relatives can also attend, and learn basic tips to pass on to their loved ones to keep them protected online.
The forum will be run by Hawkesbury Police Commander, Superintendent Jim Stewart, in conjunction with the Office of the eSafety Commissioner which was established in 2015 with a mandate to coordinate and lead the online safety efforts across government, industry and the not-for profit community.
The forum will take place on Wednesday, February 20, from 1pm until 3pm at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor.
Tickets are free, but you must book your place online at Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/2Hu256x.
