After securing the business of Hungry Jack’s, Red Rooster, and Oporto, Coca-Cola Amatil has signed Pizza Hut to a five-year beverage supply deal for its 285 Australian restaurants.
The deal comes about 18 months after the beverage giant lost its Domino's Pizza contract to rival Pepsi-Schweppes.
Coca-Cola announced on Thursday it would be Pizza Hut's sole supplier for a range of beverages including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Mount Franklin and Barista Bros flavoured milk.
“This is the beginning of a strong new relationship with one of Australia’s largest pizza restaurant and home delivery chains - 285 restaurants selling more than three quarters of a million pizzas each year,” managing director of Australian beverages Peter West said.
The five-year agreement with Pizza Hut is effective from this month.
Coca-Cola Amatil beverages will roll out in Pizza Hut restaurants over coming weeks, alongside new cold drink equipment.
The agreement follows recent business wins for Coca-Cola Amatil with Hungry Jack’s, Red Rooster, Oporto and Hilton Hotels.
Shares in the beverage giant were trading 0.36 per cent lower at $8.20 at 1402 AEDT.
The company's share price has dipped 2.26 per cent from its weekly high of $8.39 on Monday morning, after it announced it would be phasing out plastic drinking straws and stirrers in Australia in favour of biodegradable paper ones.
