A man has died and a woman is in a critical condition following a domestic-related stabbing at North Richmond today (Monday).
Two teenage girls were at the Enfield Avenue home when the incident occurred shortly after 10.45am today (January 14), police stated.
Emergency crews were immediately dispatched to the scene after reports of a stabbing.
“A man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene,” the statement said.
“A woman, believed to be aged in her 60s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Westmead hospital in a critical condition.
“A second woman, aged in her 40s, sustained minor injures, however, she was not taken to hospital.
“Two 13-year-old girls were also home at the time. They were unharmed.”
Hawkesbury police have established a crime scene at the home and investigations into the incident are continuing, the statement said.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
