Perth Glory striker Brendon Santalab has set his sights on scoring against his old side when he lines up in Sunday's A-League clash with Western Sydney at HBF Park.
Santalab was forced to look for a new club at the end of last season after the Wanderers failed to offer him a new playing contract.
Instead, the Wanderers offered him an administration role - a job Santalab quickly rejected.
The 36-year-old jumped at the offer to join his former coach Tony Popovic at Glory, and Santalab scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-1 demolition of Sydney.
Santalab, who spent five seasons at the Wanderers, hopes his goalscoring feats continue this week.
"The main goal in the game against the Wanderers is to shake the back of the net," Santalab said.
"That's the key. I'll be thinking about that the next few days, and hopefully it happens.
"I'm not thinking too deep into the situation. Not letting the emotion get into this one, because it's very easy to do.
"My sole focus is on the end result, and that's for the three points."
Santalab, who was grounded by a hamstring injury for the first five rounds, had to wait until Wednesday's game against Sydney to make his first start of the season.
And although Santalab scored a goal during his strong display, he could be forced back to the bench against the Wanderers as Popovic attempts to keep his squad fresh during the busy January period.
Andy Keogh, who came off the bench against Sydney as part of Popovic's resting strategy, could replace Santalab in the starting side on Sunday.
Keogh's name has been thrown up as a potential trade bait for out-of-favour Melbourne City attacker Bruno Fornaroli.
But Fornoroli's hefty wage - plus Keogh's desire to stay in Perth - means the deal is unlikely to go ahead.
Glory entered round 13 six points clear on top of the table, while the Wanderers are struggling in eighth spot with just two wins from 12 games.
The Wanderers will be without injured duo Oriol Riera and Alex Baumjohann, with the pair to miss about three weeks of action.
