Hawkesbury Cricket Club’s first grade squad kicked off day one of a two day clash against Campbelltown-Camden Cricket Club on Saturday, December 15.
It will be the last game for 2018 and the Hawks looked to continue their good form from last week into the match.
Hawkesbury are equal with Campbelltown-Camden on the ladder and were looking to flex some muscles.
The entire Hawks squad put on a great batting performance, whacking Campbelltown for 359 off of 96 overs.
Four half centuries by the Hawkesbury top and middle order led them to their big total.
A 68 off 84 balls by opener Tim Wilson and 72 from 149 balls for captain Peter Forrest, once again set the side up for what could be a great day in the field this weekend.
Third grade also had a good start on their opponents as they hit 243.
Leading the charge for the home side was Kyle Vicary who tonked 76 and Daniel Hardaker who posted 52.
In response, Campbelltown-Camden are 1/10 going into this weekend.
The Hawks fifth grade bowled first on Saturday, knocking Campbelltown-Camden over for 186.
Adithya Krishna topped the bowling scorecard with 3/34 and is now up to bat.
All Hawkesbury grade squads will finish off their matches on Saturday, December 22, at Benson’s Lane, before going on break until mid-January.
