FANS of one of Schofields’ favourite eateries, Limestone Cafe, will now be able to visit a brand new Limestone coffee shop in the Elara community at Marsden Park.
Ben Sultana, Co-owner of Limestone Elara along with his cousin Stephen, said that there had already been a warm response to the cafe, since they first started trading on November 12.
“The menu has a Maltese influence and it has been very popular,’’ Mr Sultana said.
“We make our own products, from wood-fired breads, cakes and pastries, right down to the patties in the beef burgers. It is a real point of difference.
“Among the favourite items with our customers are our pastizzi, which are savoury pastries filled with ricotta cheese or peas and bacon.’’
Limestone Elara offers a contemporary vibe, set within a converted shipping container framed by decking and shade sails.
The cafe overlooks the Elara playground next to the Sales and Information Centre on Elara Boulevard. It will open from 5.30am-2pm Monday to Friday, 6.30am-2pm Saturday, and 9am-2pm Sunday.
To celebrate the opening, there will be free family activities at the cafe this Sunday (December 9) from 11am to 2pm, including a jumping castle, balloonists and face painters.
The festivities are being hosted by Elara development company Stockland, and general manager NSW Residential Development Richard Rhydderch said the celebrations would be a great opportunity for Elara families to come together, make new friends and tempt their tastebuds.
“Limestone Cafe has built a strong following at Schofields, and we are delighted that they are expanding with a venue at Elara,’’ Mr Rhydderch said.
