A vehicle has allegedly been rammed a number of times during a road rage incident in Windsor.
Hawkesbury police stated the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, December 1.
“An alleged road rage incident occurred whereby it was reported a vehicle was rammed from behind a number of times in the Windsor area,” police said in a statement.
“A triple zero call was made and a highway patrol vehicle in the area responded. The person reporting the incident … was located a short time later.
“Police took brief particulars and began patrolling for the offending vehicle.”
The alleged offending vehicle was discovered a short time later in the vicinity of Railway Road North, Mulgrave, and an 18-year-old man from The Ponds was arrested and taken to Windsor police station.
“The driver was later taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for the purpose of blood and urine samples to be taken before being returned to Windsor Police Station,” police stated.
The man has been charged with knowingly driving a vehicle In a manner that menaces others, driving recklessly/furiously or speed in a dangerous manner, and malicious damage.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Windsor Local Court in January 2019.
