THE ladies from Hawkesbury charity Pink Finss were at the Richmond Good Food Markets on Saturday for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In conjunction with the team from the McGrath Foundation, Pink Finss spent the day raising awareness about breast cancer, and providing information to locals about the services they provide the community.
Pink Finss has been active in the community this month promoting Pink Up Your Town, which encourages businesses and individuals to dress their windows in pink in support of those affected by breast cancer.
Emma-Jane Garrow, events and fundraising coordinator, said they had an “awesome day” at the markets promoting the respective charities, as well as taking donations and holding a small raffle.
“We had a breast care nurse there on the day answering questions, and we also made a few contacts with ladies from the community who had been recently diagnosed, and didn’t know who we were,” she said.
