THE Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association (HDAA) is calling for community charity groups to put in expressions of interest for a free stall space at next year’s Hawkesbury Show.
The Show is booked in for the Hawkesbury Showgrounds on Friday, May 10 until Sunday, May 12, and the stand will need to be manned on Friday and Saturday from 9am until 9pm, and on Sunday from 9am until 5pm.
“It is an opportunity for a charity to promote itself, plus they are the only site permitted to run particular fundraising such as raffles,” said HDAA president Ross Matheson.
“The site is approximately 5 metres wide by 4 metres deep and is it one of the best sites on the Showground. As the HDAA’s preferred charity for 2019 there is no site rental fees.”
In recent years, the free ‘Charity Corner’ position has been allocated to the Guide Dogs, Windsor Hospital Auxiliary, and in 2018 the space was commanded by the Autism Advisory and Support Service.
Mr Matheson said all charities had been “extremely successful with their exposure and fundraising” while at Charity Corner.
Expressions of interest close at 4pm on Monday, November 19th. The successful group will be advised shortly after.
Expressions of interest should be directed to the Showground office by email: hdaa@hawkesburyshow.com.au.
Please include all the details of your organisation and how you propose to use the site for the duration of the show.
