Six people have been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision in Bilpin.
Emergency services were called to Bells Line of Road shortly after 1pm on Saturday, October 20, following the collision between a Toyota Camry, Holden Cruz and Subaru Impreza.
Police said in a statement that the Toyota had been travelling east, while the Cruz and Impreza were travelling west.
“The 79-year-old man driving the Holden and his 72-year-old female passenger were treated at the scene before being conveyed to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition,” police stated.
“The 18-year-old woman driving the Toyota and the 17-year-old boy in the front seat were treated at the scene and before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
“The rear seat passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical but stable condition with internal injuries.
“The 23-year-old male driver of the Subaru was uninjured but was taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests. His male passenger was also uninjured.”
Hawkesbury police established a crime scene and the road was closed for several hours while investigations took place.
“Crash Investigation Unit officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident,” the police statement said.
