Hawkesbury Race Club is preparing to roll out the pink carpet this Thursday as host of the eighth annual race day for local charity, Pink Finss.
A spring feature for the club given the festivities and exceptional fundraising efforts of the cancer charity, Hawkesbury Race Club has continued to support the grassroots organisation of Jodie Amor with the annual race day complementing the Pink Tie Ball held at the club each year in the autumn.
“The club is delighted to be continuing our association with our main charity, Pink Finss,” said club chief executive Greg Rudolph. “Last year, Pink Finss raised around $170,000 to $180,000 in much needed funds from these two functions, so we are hoping for an equally great response tomorrow.”
Pink Finss fundraising and events manager, Kym Burton, was overwhelmed by the ongoing support from the club, race sponsors and wider Hawkesbury community.
“Every year we are blown away by the show of support in our community,” she said.
