A woman claims she was "just visiting" a Brisbane house where police found $1.5 million in cash and a vast haul of drugs, a court has heard.
Rachel Roberta McKinnon, 27, appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday on 11 drug and property offences.
She and her 28-year-old boyfriend Neil Leslie Freemantle were arrested after police found suitcases stuffed with bundles of cash and 43 kilograms of drugs worth almost $500,000 when they raided a New Farm property on Monday.
McKinnon applied for bail, with her lawyer arguing she was just visiting Freemantle when the raids were carried out.
The court heard he had "forbidden" her accessing the rooms where the contraband was kept.
However, the court heard McKinnon's name was on the lease of the rented property even though she didn't contribute financially to the rent.
The Crown opposed bail, saying the large amount of cash and drugs meant the beauty therapist and her boyfriend had likely links to the underworld.
The magistrate agreed she was an unacceptable flight risk and remanded her in custody until her next court appearance on October 1.
Freemantle was also remanded, with his matter to be heard again on Friday.
A second man and a second woman, who were allegedly found with drugs and cash in their car shortly after fleeing the New Farm property when the raids were carried out, will face court later this month.
