Thieves looking for items to steal have smashed windows of cars parked at Yarramundi Reserve, according to police.
Hawkesbury police received reports of two incidents that occurred between 9.30am and 10am on Saturday, September 1, where two vehicles had windows smashed while they were parked at the reserve, police said in a statement.
“Police believe the offender or offenders were looking for items to steal from the vehicles,” the statement said.
The incidents led police to issue a warning to local motorists not to leave valuables inside vehicles.
“Please … ensure valuables are removed from vehicles when left unattended,” police stated.
