Two men have been charged after a horse float and excavator stolen in separate incidents were recovered by Hawkesbury police.
The white horse float was stolen sometime between March 31 and April 1 of this year from a residential property at Tennyson, Hawkesbury police said in a statement.
”On August 15, Hawkesbury Proactive Crime Team officers located and seized the stolen horse float on a property at Marsden Park,” police stated.
“On August 25, police attended a Macquarie Street, Windsor address and spoke with a … male from that address.”
A 43-year-old man has been issued with a court attendance notice for larceny, and he is due to face Windsor Local Court in October.
Meanwhile, a Kubota model excavator was reported stolen from a South Wentworthville address in a separate incident in 2013.
“Hawkesbury detectives located and seized the excavator from a residential property in East Kurrajong on June 6,” a police statement said.
Following further investigations, a 52-year-old East Kurrajong man was served with a court attendance notice on August 22 for goods suspected stolen being in or on his premises.
He is due to face Windsor Local Court in October.
