Chris Waller trained Mister Sea Wolf ridden by James McDonald claimed victory in Hawkesbury Race Club’s historic Rowley Mile.
The race was run on a good track on Thursday afternoon [August 23].
It was a successful race for Waller, with two out of the first three placed coming from his stable.
Second was taken out by Flow, ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, trained by James Cummings, and the Waller trained Alward, ridden by Kathy O’Hara, took out third.
The Hawkesbury Rowley Mile $147,000 Listed Open Handicap 1600m was first run in 1881. The race takes its name from the famous Rowley Mile Course at Newmarket in the UK.
The Hawkesbury Race Club also hosted The Hawkesbury Liquor Accord function on the day raising funds and awareness for One80TC, which provides support to local drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs.
