A draft conservation management plan for Thompson Square has been placed on public exhibition by Hawkesbury City Council.
The council adopted the 300-plus page plan at its meeting of August 14 “pending further community input following public exhibition for 28 days”.
“The purpose of the conservation management plan is to ensure that the historically significant features of the Thompson Square Conservation Area are preserved for future generations,” a council statement said.
“The conservation management plan has been prepared to guide ongoing conservation and management by council and other relevant bodies.”
The draft plan will be exhibited from Friday, August 24 to Monday, September 24
It can be viewed at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au, or www.yourhawkesburyyoursay.com.au, and can also be viewed between 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday at 366 George Street, Windsor.
The last day for receipt of submissions is September 24.
