Stolen credit cards and drugs were allegedly discovered by police after a man and woman were stopped in Marsden Park.
Hawkesbury Proactive Crime Team officers stopped a silver Toyota Camry on Richmond Road about 9.40pm on August 10.
“A subsequent roadside drug test proved positive for the male driver. He was arrested for the purpose of a secondary drug test at Riverstone police station,” a police statement said. “A search of the male also located credit cards, a phone and other items suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained.
“At Riverstone Police Station the male failed a secondary drug test. Pending further analysis, the male will most likely be charged with a drug driving offence at a later date.”
A 34-year-old Wisemans Ferry man has been charged with three counts of goods in custody relating to two credit cards and number plates in his possession, which police will allege are stolen.
He is due to appear before Downing Centre Local Court in September.
A passenger in the vehicle was also searched, with police allegedly locating a Visa card belonging to another person in her handbag.
“Also located … were prescribed restricted substances,” police stated.
A 30-year-old Wisemans Ferry woman was issued with a field court attendance notice for goods in custody and possessing a prescribed restricted substance. She is due to front Windsor Local Court next month.
