IS tax time always a nightmare for you? Do you put it off because you can’t make heads nor tails of all the numbers and paperwork?
Hawkesbury Library Service is offering help. In association with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), the library at Windsor is providing Tax Help sessions on Thursdays from August through to October. Even better, the service is free.
Tax Help is a network of community volunteers who provide a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns online using myTax.
Volunteers are fully trained, accredited and supported by the ATO. These volunteers are people from within the community who give up their time each year. They are not ATO staff, but do receive training and support from the ATO.
To see if you are eligible visit the ATO website at www.ato.gov.au.
Central Library is at 300 George Street, Windsor. The tax service is free, but bookings are essential over the phone on 4560 4460.
