HAWKESBURY City Football Club has remained in touch with the top of the ladder in the Football NSW NPL 3 competition, after a win at the weekend.
City took down Sydney University in one of five home games it has over the final seven games of the season.
David Gardiner and Bradley Gibson were the goal scorers for City in the 2-1 victory.
City conceded a goal after the match was only a few minutes old, before Gardiner got the team on the scoreboard later in the half.
Gibson’s second half goal was a header off a corner and proved the difference between the two sides after the scores were 1-1 at the half.
The round 20 win was the 12th of the season for City.
The first grade team is in third place on the ladder with 40 points. St George Football Association has retained first place with 45 points after another win.
In round 21, the team will play the Stanmore Hawks at Arlington Oval on Saturday from 7pm.
