Two women and a man have been charged with drink driving in less than 24 hours by Hawkesbury police.
The first incident occurred about 9.30pm on Friday, July 13 when a woman was stopped for a random breath test on Windsor Road, Vineyard, which proved positive. She was arrested and taken to Windsor police station, where a breath analysis returned a mid-range reading.
A 35-year-old Beaumont Hills woman was charged with mid-range PCA and her licence was suspended on the spot. She is due to appear before Windsor Local Court next month.
About 10.25pm on the same day a woman was stopped by officers due to her manner of driving. A roadside breath test proved positive and she was arrested and taken to Windsor police station, where a subsequent breath analysis returned a reading in the mid range.
A 36-year-old Clarendon woman was charged with mid-range PCA and she will appear before the same court next month. Her licence was also suspended.
Meanwhile, a man was stopped on on Richmond Road, South Windsor, due to his manner of driving about 3.15pm on Saturday, July 14.
“Following a positive roadside breath test, the male was arrested and taken to Windsor police station. A breath analysis returned a reading in the low range,” a Hawkesbury police statement said..
A 28-year-old Colyton man was charged with low range PCA and will appear before Windsor Local Court next month.
Hawkesbury police have expressed concern over the number of drink driving detections made in the short period of time.
