HAWKESBURY Jets basketballer Pat Gilmour was named one of three contenders for player of the week in the Waratah Basketball league competitions, after a top points scoring effort recently.
Gilmour top scored for the Jets division 2 youth men team last week, grabbing 18 points and earning himself a nomination for the award, despite the team going down to the St George Saints at the Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium.
Basketball NSW will announce who won the award next week.
Gilmour scored another 10 points this weekend in the team’s loss to the Moss Vale Magic.
Musab Mousa was the top scorer for the Jets in the round 16 match, grabbing 22 points, which included nine baskets and four free throws.
This weekend, the Jets have a Saturday night match against the Newcastle Hunters, while the division one men do not play until the final round of the competition on July 28 due to a quirk of the draw.
