THE Nor-West Jets picked up a good win against the University of Technology Sydney Bats at the weekend.
The Jets hosted the Bats at Bensons Lane, and enjoyed the home ground advantage as they won 7.11-53 to 2.4-16 in round 12 of the AFL Sydney division one competition.
It was the sixth win of the season for the Jets.
Jesse Whitelaw and Scott Braid were the top goal scorers for the Jets, with both booting two apiece.
Nathaniel Wardley, Alexander Fidler and Nick Steffan all kicked one each.
The Bats kept things tight in the first quarter, only trailing by two-points at the breaks, but soon enough the Jets gained the upper hand.
The second and third terms saw them keep the Bats goal-less, while adding another five of their own.
The Jets are now tied for fourth place with the North Shore Bombers, but are notionally in fifth thanks to their percentage.
In round 13, the Jets travel to take on the Randwick City Saints.
