SUSAN Templeman has made an election promise of an extra $500,000 funding for an inclusive playground in South Windsor, to top up a current state government offer.
On Wednesday, July 4, the state government announced $500,000 to plan and build a playground that catered for children with disabilities to be built at the Church Street Reserve.
Susan Templeman has now pledged to match that funding, should Labor win the next federal election.
“I’m delighted to announce that a Federal Labor Government will provide an extra $500,000 to ensure there is appropriate funding to give Hawkesbury families the inclusive play space they deserve,” Ms Templeman said via a prepared statement.
Ms Templeman said she had written to Member for Hawkesbury and state Treasurer Dominic Perrottet to welcome his announcement of funding, and to offer the extra funding, should Labor take office at the federal level.
