AN inclusive playground for children with disabilities will be built in South Windsor the state government has announced.
The playground will be built at the Church Street Reserve, with $500,000 allocated for the design and construction.
Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet said he was pleased the government would deliver the project.
“The Government’s $500,000 contribution for the Church Street Reserve play space is great news for our community, particularly children and families. I look forward to seeing everyone coming together to enjoy this fantastic new facility,” Mr Perrottet said.
The funding comes from the state government’s Accelerated Open Space and Parklands Program.
Planning Minister Anthony Roberts said he too was pleased with the outcome.
“This funding is another step towards delivering on the commitment the NSW Government made to work with council and industry to create wonderful places that children, families and individuals can enjoy, close to their homes,” Mr Roberts said.
