A 77-year-old woman has been taken to hospital for treatment after being hit by a car in Richmond.
Hawkesbury police said the incident occurred about 8.15am today (Thursday, June 14) at the intersection of East Market and Lennox Streets, Richmond.
“The female driver of a green Holden Commodore with two occupants was driving north on East Market Street, performing a right turn into Lennox Street,” a police spokesman said.
“At the same time a 77-year-old lady from Hobartville has crossed Lennox Street at the lights heading south.
“The Commodore has collided with the pedestrian at low speed, causing minor injuries to the lady, who was transported to Nepean Hospital for assessment.”
A 44-year-old woman from Hobartville has been issued with an infringement notice for not giving way to a pedestrian.
