A WALK to raise awareness about post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) will take place on Saturday, June 23.
The PTSD Awareness Day Walk will kick-off at 9.15am from the tennis courts at Windsor Street, Richmond, and participants will walk through to the information centre opposite the RAAF.
There will be a free breakfast on offer, as well as resources about PTSD and services available in the area.
The walk is being organised by the Australian Resource Centre for PTSD, which is based in Richmond’s Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre.
Centre founder Michelle New and her ‘teeny tiny service dog’, Harvey the chihuahua, will be present at the walk, providing photo opportunities with Harvey. Attendees will also be able to meet the Centre’s PTSD counseller.
All community members are invited to attend.
