SCHOFIELDS Cricket Club celebrated its past season with the annual presentation night on May 26 on what is the 60 year anniversary of the foundation of the club.
The club displayed its original club constitution as well as figures from games in that season. Plenty of other memorabilia was available including match reports from over the years between its formation in 1958 to 1972.
The club paid tribute to the late Ken Birdsey, because of his contribution to Schofields Cricket Club, as well as Hawkesbury District Cricket Association over many years. Birdsey was a long time coach with the club and an umpire with the district.
The Ken Birdsey Junior Sportsmanship award was given to Lachlan Boyd this year, for a strong commitment to the club over the past five years.
On the field in 2017-18, all of the club’s teams made it into the finals, with the under-11s and under-12s taking out the premierships.
