THE Nor-West Jets’ win streak has come to an end at the hands of the Randwick Saints.
After losing the opening game of the season, the Nor-West Jets had won their past five until the weekend, when the team hosted the Saints.
The round seven match of the AFL Sydney division one competition ended 10.10-70 to 5.5-35 in the Saints’ favour.
The Jets actually held an early lead at the close of the first quarter on Saturday at Bensons Lane.
However, strong second and third quarters from the Saints saw them bound away from the home team, while the final quarter saw both teams boot three goals each.
Aiden Sharvell was the Jets’ leading goal kicker with two in the match. Joe Groenewegen, Mitchell Crowe and Casey Wenselowski also kicked a goal each.
The round seven loss has seen the Jets drop to second place on the ladder, after sharing the lead with Sydney University for the past few weeks.
In round eight, the Jets will host the UTS Bats at Bensons Lane at 2pm on Saturday.
