Local community and business leaders have met with Hawkesbury MP Dominic Perrottet over future road corridors proposed for the area.
In a statement released on Monday, Mr Perrottet said he met with locals directly affected by the plans on May 11.
“I am grateful they gave me the opportunity to talk with them at length,” Mr Perrottet stated. “There is a great deal of concern about what this could mean to their homes, properties and families.
“I will be meeting more people later this week and am relaying what they tell me directly back to my colleagues.
“I have already talked with the Minister for Transport and Infrastructures Constance and the Premier about the proposal.
“The consultation is ongoing and I urge people to have their say – your voices are not going unheard. I will be pushing very hard for local residents to have a decision made as soon as practical,” he said.
The consultation period for the road corridors ends on June 1. To lodge a submission, see https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/corridors/have-your-say
