Hawkesbury livestock owners have been invited to attend a free grazing management workshop in Richmond.
Coordinated by Greater Sydney Local Land Services (GSLLS), the workshop will feature a masterclass from renowned educator Judi Earl. Organiser Vanessa Keyzer said participants would be treated to insight on all aspects of sustainable grazing including pasture monitoring, soil health and more.
“We want to give livestock owners access to simple, quick and effective methods for getting the most out of their pasture,” she said.
“Grazing management is crucial to soil health and pasture productivity and this workshop will show how grazing effects plants roots, soil structure, water infiltration and soil biology.”
The workshop will be held at the Greater Sydney Demonstration Farm, Gate 6 Southee Rd on Saturday, April 21 from 9am to 4pm. Registrations are essential. Contact 4724 2100 for more information.
