THE Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) and ABC Heywire are providing grants of up to $10,000 for community groups that undertake projects to help make rural, regional and remote Australia a better place for young people to live.
Applicants must implement one of seven projects which have been identified by young leaders as pressing issues that need tackling.
They include connecting new Australians with agriculture, making schools a place where it's ok to talk about mental health, teaching young people the difference between a healthy relationship and an unhealthy one, and supporting boys to stay away from drugs.
For detailed project outlines and to apply, go to frrr.org.au/heywire or call 1800 170 020. Applications close Monday, May 14.
