There was no winner at Coopers Stadium on Friday night.
Adelaide United and Melbourne City were forced to share the honours after playing out a 1-all draw in their round 23 A-League battle.
Neither team was able to hammer home an advantage, but it was an entertaining content.
Adelaide held a 1-0 lead at half time after Johan Absalonsen smashed the ball into the back of the net in the dying minutes.
It was Absalonsen’s first start since October.
Stefan Mauk managed the equaliser for City in the 53rd minute, and that’s how the score remained.
The result means City holds onto third place on the A-League ladder with 34 points, two points ahead of rival Melbourne Victory.
Adelaide sits in fifth spot on the ladder.
