A woman has drowned after being swept off rocks while fishing on the Central Coast on Wednesday evening.
The 43-year-old woman has been rock fishing with her husband at Snapper Point about 5pm when she fell into the water, police said.
She was not believed to be wearing a lifejacket.
The woman's body was later recovered by surf lifesavers.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
It was the second drowning death in the area, after a man drowned at Frazer Beach three days ago.
The 30-year-old Parramatta man was swimming with his brother near the patrolled area of the beach when the men became distressed.
A surfer in the water saw the man being pulled out to sea and tried to help the man, while lifeguards launched a rescue operation
The surfer and the man were washed onto rocks by a wave, Surf Life Saving NSW said, but by the time lifeguards reached them the 20-year-old was unconscious and unresponsive.
Lifeguards performed CPR but the man could not be revived.
The man's brother was pulled from the water by lifeguards and treated by paramedics.
NSW Lifeguard manager Oliver Munson said the rescue was made more challenging by the isolated nature of the area.
