The ties binding two of Sydney's most controversial families, the Ibrahims and the Mehajers, are set to be tightened after a senior Nomads bikie and cousin of Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim announced his engagement to Salim Mehajer's younger sister Sanaa.
Convicted killer Mouhamed "Moudi" Tajjour, a former vice-president of the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang, announced his engagement to Ms Mehajer on his Instagram account on Christmas Eve.
Mr Tajjour, his brother Sleiman - a former Nomads national president - and their cousin Michael Ibrahim pleaded guilty in 2007 to the manslaughter of Robin Nassour, brother of Fat Pizza comedian George Nassour, who was stabbed in an apartment basement car park at Chiswick in Sydney's inner-west after a dispute on New Year's Eve 2005.
The Supreme Court heard a fight broke out between the men after Michael Ibrahim, who had refused the Nassour brothers entry to an Oxford Street nightclub, interpreted a "rude" middle-finger gesture made by Robin Nassour in the direction of his brother George as being "intended for him".

Faouzi Abou-Jibal, the fourth attacker and the man who knifed both Nassours, was fatally shot in the back in a park six months after the killing. The Tajjour brothers and Michael Ibrahim were jailed for their part in what Justice Derek Price described as a "brutal and cowardly attack" on Mr Nassour.
The engagement comes just weeks after Mr Mehajer's sister Aisha and Mr Ibrahim's nephew Sam Sayour tied the knot in the backyard of a western Sydney home owned by Mr Ibrahim's mother Wahiba.
Preparations for that controversial union were interrupted, but not halted, by the shooting of Ibrahim's bodyguard Semi "Tongan Sam" Ngata in the same Merrylands backyard a day before the wedding.

Neither John Ibrahim nor Mr Mehajer, the former deputy mayor of the now-defunct Auburn Council, was believed to have been in attendance at the wedding of Aisha Mehajer and Mr Sayour but Mr Tajjour was spotted emerging from a blue Audi.
Mr Ibrahim's brothers Michael and Fadi were arrested in August in a dramatic sting in Dubai relating to an alleged drug and tobacco smuggling syndicate.
Mr Mehajer, who is at the centre of a drawn-out electoral fraud trial over the 2012 election which catapulted him into public office, hit the headlines in August 2015 after his own lavish nuptials shut down his western Sydney street.
In a bizarre "tell-all" interview posted on his Instagram account and on YouTube on Christmas Day, he said the pressures of being in the media spotlight led to the breakdown of his marriage.
"At times she would lock herself in her room," he said of ex-wife Aysha Learmonth.
"I'm not somebody to point fingers or blame anyone else, but the media is responsible for my breakdown. They ensure no female will like me, so they will turn on me."
Mr Mehajer said the pair had "never had a single fight" and a video leaked to the media in which he yelled obscenities at Ms Learmonth and made violent threats against her parents was made "in the heat of the moment".
"If I can say anything about my actions it's that I was so crazy in love with this woman. I was so frustrated that even she was manipulated by the media," he said.
