The young history of Rouse Hill: a dive in the newspaper archives

After 14 years serving the community, it’s the end of an era for Fairfax Media in Rouse Hill.

The paper – originally known as The Northern News – launched its first edition in July 2003 to reflect the growing importance of Rouse Hill as a regional growth centre.

The publication went through a few name changes over the years, becoming the Rouse Hill-Stanhope Gardens News in December, 2009 after the original name began to feel too generic.

It finally became the Rouse Hill Courier in May, 2014.
