Parramatta crushed Hawkesbury on Saturday before being knocked out of the Twenty20 Cup by Penrith on Sunday in a mixed weekend of NSW Premier Cricket.
The Parramatta bowlers combined with five different wicket takers to bowl out Hawkesbury for 204.
Ben Martin (2-38), Jack White (2-31) and Trent Crittenden (2-11) took two wickets while Luke Dempsey and Scott Copperfield one each.
Crittenden also affected two run outs.
The run chase was one sided with Parramatta losing one wicket with Tim Ward (98 not out) and Nick Bertus (90 not out) making short work of the total.
In Sunday’s T20 clash, Jordan Silk’s 62 off 45 balls helped Penrith to 6-182 off its 20 overs.
Early wickets saw Parramatta in trouble but a quick cameo from Dempsey also salvaged the win.
His 42 from 20 balls included five sixes but his dismissal ended Parramatta’s hopes in the competition as they finished 9-160.
