NSW Ambulance received a call at 6.10am on Tuesday morning of an accident on King Road at Wilberforce.
While police reports are not yet in as police are still in attendance at the scene, a Facebook responder on the Gazette page said the accident was a truck hitting a power pole, trapping the driver for over an hour.
The NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the trapped driver estimated to be in his 20s had a head injury and a critical leg injury. The NSW Ambulance helicopter was called and he was transported to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
Live Traffic said King Road was completely closed between Coburg and Old Sackville roads and the police crash investigation unit was in attendance.
