RIVERSTONE and North Richmond have set up an exciting finals’ day play for this Saturday, after both clubs got away to good starts in round two of the Hawkesbury District Cricket Association competition.
Riverstone won the toss in first grade and chose to bat, posting 172 runs.
Jamie Uncles was the top scorer for the team, making 42 runs, while Russell Thorpe took four wickets for North Richmond in the first innings.
In the second innings, North Richmond reached 5-55 in 16 overs before stumps was called.
North Richmond lost three batsmen near the end of the days’ play, leaving Stephen Rosenbladh and Andrew Cash not out, both with no runs.
In the other game, Freemans Reach elected to forfeit the match, delivering the victory by default to Bligh Park, which will have to wait another two weeks before playing the team’s first match after a round one bye.
Pitt Town has the bye this round.
Round two will conclude this Saturday.
