Total fire ban declared from midnight Tuesday
Hawkesbury Fire Control has declared a Total Fire Ban from midnight tonight till midnight Wednesday, September 13, due to a severe fire danger rating for Wednesday.
From midnight no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended. This includes incinerators and barbecues which burn solid fuel, e.g. wood, charcoal or heat beads.
No general purpose welding, grinding, soldering or gas cutting can be done in the open.
The NSW RFS also strongly recommends you reconsider activities such as using a tractor or slashing, to help reduce the chance of a fire starting on your property.
