HAWKESBURY City Football Club’s youth talent is doing the club and region proud, as every youth team across the club is in the top seven.
The under-18s team is one game away from a grand final appearance, while the under-13s and under-16s teams are in the top three of their competitions.
It is a good time to be at the club according to club coach Dean Bertenshaw, who lauded the young players on their performances across the season.
“It is good news for the future. It makes us a strong option for youth,” he said.
“We've got a couple of hundred young players from across the area.
“They have climbed very quickly in the youth league after only having it back for two years.”
The under-18s finished fourth on the ladder, while the under-16s were third.
The under-15s were sixth, the under-14s in seventh and the under-13s in second place.
“We're very consistent across all our teams,” Bertenshaw said.
