If Hawkesbury apprentice Chelsea Ings isn’t on horseback, she is on the road piling kilometres onto her odometer in pursuit of winners to continue her blossoming career; and such dedication was rewarded with two new winners last weekend.

Ings rode at the annual Tuncurry-Forster Cup meeting on Friday, made her way to the small town of Collarenebri, some 700km from Sydney, for a low-key Saturday fixture and finally completed her journey with a trip to Muswellbrook on Sunday.

Once Ings arrived at Muswellbrook, her confidence was high, and as the young jockey looks to rival the Leyland Brothers for distance travelled, she made sure to make the most of her lone ride on topweight Annandale Lass.

Riding for Cessnock-based trainer Dean Jackson, Ings snuck along the inside of favourite Majestic Pedrille to steal the feature event of the meeting, the 1280m Godolphin Tiara; providing a fitting crown for her 30th career win.
