HAWKESBURY City Football Club came home from Bathurst with a 2-2 draw at the weekend, after taking on the Western NSW Mariners.
In what is always a tough road trip according to coach Dean Bertenshaw, City’s first grade team was unable to top the lowly Mariners in NPL 3 action.
Santiago Pallares and James Mawein were the goal scorers for City in the round 19 match, played at Proctor Park in Bathurst on Saturday night.
The fifth draw of the season for City has seen the club slip out of finals contention for the time being, although only just.
City is now in sixth-place on the ladder, one point behind the Southern District Raiders. City has a 8-5-5 record so far this season.
In round 20, City will have a tough test when the club travels to take on Sydney University on Sunday afternoon.
