DO you know a teacher who’s made an impact and should be celebrated?
Nominations are now open for the 2017 A Day Made Better Teaching Awards, which recognises and rewards exceptional primary and secondary school teachers across the country.
Parents, students (past and present), colleagues, principals, family and friends are invited to show their appreciation by nominating online.
“Exceptional teachers do more than just teach – they inspire, nurture and encourage students to build knowledge, confidence and life-skills,” states the Awards website.
Ten teachers will be rewarded for their inspirational work with a surprise event including prizes valued at over $6,000 and an Apple iPad for their school.
The program is run by OfficeMax, and recognises teachers across Australia who work hard to educate, motivate and inspire students every day.
Paul Munkley, director sales and marketing at OfficeMax, said: “We are extremely proud to be launching our seventh annual programme and that our awards has become a mouth piece for the community to reward teachers for the huge part they play in shaping future Australians.”
Nominations close Friday, June 23. Nominate online at adaymadebetter.com.au.
