HAWKESBURY trainers Garry White and Mitchell Kearney scored at their home track last week thanks to Lady Chalfont.
White’s three-year-old filly won the first race of her five race career at the Hawkesbury Race Club on Tuesday.
The punters rated Lady Chalfont’s chances, backing her down to $3.60, and she started as the second favourite of the race.
Jockey Mitchell Bell saw the filly home well ahead of the rest of the pack.
Meanwhile, Kearney’s Eerised, a three-year-old gelding, won the second race of his career, winning the 2000-metre benchmark 60 race at the club.
Another of White’s three-year-old fillys, Letter to Juliette ridden by Hawkesbury jockey Grant Buckley, was runner-up to Eerised.
Hawkesbury trainers Malcolm Johnston and John Higgins claimed third places on the day too.
