HAWKESBURY City Football Club’s goal scoring run has come to an unfortunate end at the hands of the Rydalmere Lions and Fraser Park in Football NSW’s NPL 3 competition.
The Lions defeated City’s first grade team 4-1 on Saturday evening at Rydalmere Park.
Earlier in the week, City played a catch up game against Fraser Park, going down 2-0.
Santiago Pallares scored his 13th goal of the season against Rydalmere, and now sits in second place on the season goal scoring list.
The losses have seen the club slip to sixth place on the ladder.
The match against Fraser Park also means that for the meantime, City has no more catch up games to be played.
City had been on a good run of wins before last week’s matches, including a 6-2 defeat of Inter Lions in round nine and a 6-1 defeat of Sydney University in round seven.
This week, the club will play ninth-placed Granville Rage FC at Bensons Lane.
