Bunnings Warehouse on Richmond Road at Marsden Park will open for trading on Monday, January 19, but the official grand opening will be on Friday night, January 23 — complete with fireworks.
The grand opening will run from 6-9pm.
This latest Bunnings Warehouse joins 70 other Bunnings warehouse, smaller format and trade centre stores in NSW, with four stores between Penrith and Rouse Hill.
The company says it is the largest player in the $40bn-plus home improvement market.
The Bunnings is in the new $2 billion Sydney Business Park, which is 256 hectares in size, and will also be home to IKEA, Masters Home Improvement, Costco, Shell, Hargreaves Property Group, Swire Cold Storage and McDonald’s.
McDonald’s opened to the public in December, and if all goes to plan, Masters Home Improvement will be the next store to open in May, followed closely by IKEA, opening in June.
The remaining businesses are set to follow suit later this year.
The park’s development director Owen Walsh said the park was rapidly taking shape.
‘‘We’re very pleased with how the business park is progressing, which will be a long-term development,’’ Mr Walsh said.
‘‘We’re attracting high quality tenants and believe it’s something the community will buy into and want to be a part of.’’
