Woman charged with thefts: Blacktown

A woman has been arrested following a string of alleged thefts in  and around the Blacktown ast month.

The arrest relate to the following incidents:

* A resident returned to their home on Bombala Circuit, Quakers Hill when they found the premises had allegedly been broken into and items stolen on August 18.

*A Ford Falcon drove into an underground car park of a residential block of units on Purser Street, Castle Hill between 10om and midnight on August 19. Three people in the vehicle allegedly stole a number of items from three garages, before driving from the scene.

*A woman and a man attended a Seven Hills business on August 18 and  allegedly stole two sets of car keys and a mobile phone. They fled in a stolen vehicle using one of the sets of keys.

*The second set of car keys allegedly stolen the August 20 were used to steal a second vehicle from the same Seven Hills business on August 28.

Police located the stolen vehicle in St Marys on Monday.

Further investigations led police to a home in Scintilla Grove, Doonside on Tuesday, where a woman, 20, was arrested.

She was charged with 12 offences, including four counts of larceny, take and drive conveyance without consent, receive/dispose of stolen property, break, enter and commit indictable offence, and traffic offences.

The woman will appear at Blacktown Local Court today (September 3).
