Two Riverstone residents have teamed up to film a new web show called Town Centre, with established TV stars on board.
Sarah Frost and Stuart Waller created the show, which takes you through the relationships the families in the story have with their community.
‘‘I am originally from Bathurst and worked in retail in a country shopping centre so it is about a close knit community feel in a small country town,’’ Sarah said.
‘‘It shows a range of multiculturalism.’’
Sarah told the Gazette on Friday morning that she had written the script for the web series some time ago.
‘‘The script was written by me seven years ago, but Stuart and I started collaborating over the last three years,’’ she said.
She said the story was all filmed in the Riverstone community. ‘‘We used the Riverstone sporting centre, Norwest College, a local resident’s home, the local town centre and some rural property in the surrounding areas,’’ she said.
Former Home and Away star Zac Drayson (who played Will), Housos’ Garry Who and Offspring’s Emma Griffin also teamed up as stars on the local show.
‘‘The collaboration of everything including our actors has just been great,’’ Sarah said. ‘‘It is very rewarding and a bit surreal knowing that we have filmed the first episode in full.’’
Sarah said that they have a long term goal of producing multiple series of Town Centre while also gaining a large viewing audience.
The first episode of the series can be seen on YouTube and on the show’s official website, towncentreshow.com.au.
