Bunnings Warehouses in Minchinbury and Seven Hills invite residents to attend DIY How to Plant a Tree Workshops this weekend.

The workshops will provide tips on how to plant and care for trees of all sizes and varieties.

There are craft workshops for the kids, where they can decorate pots from recycled materials.

The workshops coincide with National Tree Day.

Adult workshops are on 11am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm this Saturday and Sunday (July 26-27) at both stores.

The kids' workshops are from 10am to 2pm both days.

Bunnings Warehouse Minchinbury is on the corner of John Hines Avenue and Great Western Highway.

The Seven Hills store is on the corner of Old Windsor and Abbott roads.

$213,676 for kids

Western Sydney Westfield shoppers contributed to the $213,676 raised for charities this month as part of GiveAbility Day. Westfield dollar-matched donations, with a $250,000 boost. Westfield shoppers at North Rocks raised $24,061.70, at Parramatta $16,535.30, Mt Druitt $10,345.3 and $8788 at Penrith Westfield. GiveAbility Day was at all Westfield centres to help more than 30 charities that support children living with disabilities and their families.
